Terms & Conditions of Entry

1. Eligibility

• The SheInspires Awards are open to individuals, businesses, organisations, and community initiatives that align with the values and criteria of the relevant award category.
• Entrants may be based in the UK or internationally, unless otherwise stated within a specific category.
• Nominees must be aged 18 or over at the time of nomination except for the Young Achiever category, which is open to nominees 18 & under the age of 18.
• Self-nominations are permitted unless a category states otherwise.
• Employees, judges, sponsors, or partners of SheInspires may enter or be nominated but must not be involved in judging their own category.

2. Nominations & Entry

• All nominations must be submitted via the official SheInspires nomination form.
• Entries must be completed in full and submitted before the published deadline.
• SheInspires reserves the right to move a nomination to a more suitable category where appropriate.
• Incomplete, late, misleading, or inaccurate entries may be disqualified at the discretion of SheInspires.

3. Photographs & Supporting Materials

• A clear, high-resolution headshot photograph of the nominee must be submitted with the nomination.
• Photographs must:
  • Be well lit and in focus
  • Be high resolution (suitable for print and digital use)
  • Show the nominee clearly, facing the camera
  • Not include sunglasses, heavy filters, group shots, or obscured faces
• Failure to provide a suitable photograph may affect publicity opportunities.

4. Entry Fees

• There is no entry fee to nominate or enter the SheInspires Awards.
• Entry does not guarantee shortlisting or winning.

5. Judging Process

• Judging takes place in two stages:
  1. Stage One: Assessment of the written nomination submission
  2. Stage Two: A live interview with the judging panel
• Nominees must be available and willing to participate in both stages of the judging process.
• Interviews will take place online.
• All entries are assessed by an independent judging panel appointed by SheInspires.
• Judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding scores or outcomes.
• SheInspires reserves the right not to award a category if entries do not meet the required standard.

6. Shortlisting & Winners

• Shortlisted finalists will be notified using the contact details provided in the nomination.
• All finalists are expected to attend the SheInspires Awards ceremony.
• Finalists’ friends and family are welcome to attend the Awards.
• Attendance at the Awards ceremony is ticketed.
• Shortlisting or winning does not include complimentary tickets.

7. Tickets & Attendance

• Finalists and guests must purchase tickets to attend the Awards ceremony.
• SheInspires strongly encourages finalists and supporters to take advantage of Early Bird ticket offers, which will be released in advance of the event.
• Ticket purchases are subject to separate event Terms & Conditions.
• SheInspires is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or related costs.

8. Publicity & Use of Content

• By entering or accepting a nomination, nominees agree that SheInspires may:
  • Use names, photographs, videos, logos, and submitted content for promotional, editorial, and press purposes
  • Feature nominees and winners across SheInspires platforms, including website, social media, printed materials, and media coverage
• Nominees confirm that all submitted content is accurate and that they have permission to share it.

9. Data Protection

• Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and SheInspires’ Privacy Policy.
• Information will be used solely for the administration of the Awards and related communications.
• Data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

10. Code of Conduct

• SheInspires reserves the right to remove or disqualify any nominee whose behaviour, conduct, or business practices are found to be inconsistent with the values of SheInspires.
• Any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct associated with the Awards may result in immediate removal.

11. Changes & Right to Amend

• SheInspires reserves the right to amend categories, criteria, deadlines, judges, event format, or these Terms & Conditions at any time.
• Any changes will be published on the SheInspires website.

12. Liability & Technical Issues

• SheInspires is not responsible for technical issues, system failures, publishing errors, platform outages, or lost submissions beyond its reasonable control.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, SheInspires accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from participation in the Awards.

13. Governing Law

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
