
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. Self-nominations are welcome across all categories.
There are no restrictions — individuals, businesses, organisations, and community initiatives may all self-nominate or be nominated by others.
Who can nominate?
Anyone can nominate anyone.
You may nominate a friend, colleague, organisation, community leader — or yourself.
Is there an entry fee?
No. There is no entry fee to nominate or enter the She Inspires Awards.
How do I submit a nomination?
All nominations must be submitted online via the official SheInspires website.
Submitting a nomination:
- Takes less than five minutes
- Is the first stage of the process
- Does not require supporting documents at this stage
What happens after a nomination is submitted?
Once nominations close:
- All nominations are reviewed, and verified
- All nominees are notified that they have been nominated
- Nominees then decide whether they wish to accept or decline the nomination
Being nominated does not automatically place you into judging — acceptance is required.
What happens if I accept my nomination?
If you choose to accept:
- You must complete an Acceptance Form
- You must submit a clear, high-resolution headshot photograph
- All materials must be received by the stated deadline
Failure to accept the nomination or submit required materials by the deadline may result in removal from the process.
What kind of photograph do I need to submit?
A professional, high-resolution headshot is required.
Photographs must:
- Be clear, well-lit, and in focus
- Be suitable for print and digital use
- Show the nominee clearly, facing the camera
- Not include sunglasses, heavy filters, group shots, or obscured faces

Can I be nominated in more than one category?
Yes. This is common.
How many categories can I accept?
You may accept a maximum of two categories.We strongly recommend choosing one strongest category.She Inspires will only accept up to two Acceptance Forms per nominee, even if you are nominated in more. If possible, choose one and focus.
If I accept two categories, what should I do?
Each response must be tailored to the category.Do not copy and paste the same answers across categories.Category criteria differ, even for the same person.
Can She Inspires move me to a different category?
Yes. If we believe another category suits you better, we may move your nomination.You will be informed.You may accept or decline the revised category.
What is the judging process?
Judging takes place in two stages:
Stage One:
Assessment of the written submission (from the Acceptance Form)
Stage Two:
A 15-minute interview with the judging panel
Both stages are mandatory.
When do judging interviews take place?
Judging interviews take place from mid-July to mid-September.
- Interview dates are published by category
- Once dates are released, they cannot be changed
- Interviews are conducted online or in person, depending on category
Can I change my interview date?
No. Interview dates are fixed once published.
The interview lasts 15 minutes only.
You are expected to make yourself available — even if you are travelling or on holiday.
Please do not email requesting date changes, unless there are exceptional circumstances (for example, being mid-flight at the scheduled time).
How long is the judging interview?
Each judging interview is 15 minutes.
This is sufficient time for judges to assess your work, impact, and alignment with the category criteria.
Do finalists have to attend the Awards?
Yes. All finalists are required to attend the She Inspires Awards ceremony.
Can friends and family attend?
Yes. Friends, family, and supporters are very welcome to attend.
Are tickets included if I’m shortlisted or win?
No.
Shortlisting or winning does not include complimentary tickets.
Attendance at the Awards ceremony is ticketed.
Will Early Bird tickets be available?
Yes. Early Bird tickets will be released, and finalists and supporters are strongly encouraged to take advantage of them.
Important – Overseas Nominees, Visas & Travel
She Inspires does not provide visa or invitation letters, or any documentation for visa applications.Overseas nominees are responsible for their own visa, travel, and accommodation arrangements.Please do not email the She Inspires team requesting visa-related documentation.
What if I can’t get a visa or can’t travel?
She Inspires is a hybrid event.If you are unable to travel, you may participate virtually.Online tickets are available, giving you access to the Awards experience remotely.Your inability to travel does not exclude you from taking part in the Awards.
What happens if I don’t win?
Every finalist becomes part of the She Inspires alumni community — recognised, celebrated, and connected beyond the Awards night.
