Awards and recognitions are important because they highlight incredible work and meaningful contributions that are made by individual’s or a company in a particular sector. Awards also motivate other companies and individuals to come up with creative ideas on how tackle most pressing issues in their societies.
Winning the women in leadership award will provide visibility of the significant contributions that I continue to make in the society such as managing a large diverse family enterprise and motivating youth to engage in entrepreneurship activities to help in the economic development of their nations . I believe that this recognition will also challenge other female leaders/aspiring entrepreneurs to work towards changing and impacting lives of more youth and women in their sectors. Through my own personal journey others can learn and be inspired to make significant contributions that will have a sustainable positive impact.
