University of Bolton backs new £10k award for healthcare sector

A HEALTH charity could soon be £10,000 richer thanks to an award by the University of Bolton.

The SHE INSPIRES Awards, now in their eighth year, will this year have a new category to honour women in Health and Medical Services.

This will be open to professionals in all areas of healthcare including nursing, general practice, surgery and the ambulance service and the winner will receive the cash award for a health charity of her choice.

Awards’ organiser Gulnaz Brennan said: “This is a wonderful opportunity not only to highlight individuals but for health charities across Bolton and the North West to take advantage of the university’s great generosity.
