She Inspires Champions the Next Generation of Women Leaders at The Sixth Form Bolton

An afternoon filled with hope, ambition, and leadership unfolded at The Sixth Form Bolton during the annual Women in Leadership Luncheon — an event growing in impact, legacy, and meaning year after year.

The afternoon featured two inspiring keynote speakers: Gulnaz Brennan, founder of She Inspires: Empowering Women, and Chief Inspector Justine Topping. Together, they shared powerful reflections on resilience, adaptability, and the importance of always having a “Plan B” in life and leadership.

Speaking to a room brimming with young women full of ambition and curiosity, Gulnaz Brennan highlighted a truth too often forgotten: that leadership begins not with titles, but with the courage to dream, act, and inspire.

“Today’s young women are tomorrow’s changemakers,” said Gulnaz. “Their stories, their leadership, and their resilience will shape a better, more inclusive future. We must give them not only a seat at the table, but the confidence to believe they belong there.”

A particularly inspiring aspect of the event was the innovative concept of placing a role model at every table — ensuring every student had direct, personal access to a leader who has walked the path ahead. These conversations created a bridge of trust, encouragement, and empowerment that no speech alone could build.

At the heart of the afternoon was a simple but powerful message: Leadership is personal. It’s built connection by connection, story by story. And it is never too early to begin nurturing it.

An emotional highlight came when Gulnaz met two young women who have been nominated for the She Inspires: Empowering Women 2025 Awards. Their humility was striking: “I don’t know if I inspire anyone,” they said. Gulnaz’s heartfelt response captured the spirit of the event: “You already inspire — simply by being seen, by trying, by dreaming. Someone recognised your light. Own your story and celebrate your journey.”

The She Inspires movement has always been about more than awards; it is about building a future where young women are empowered to lead, to dream, and to uplift others.

She Inspires is committed to continuing its mission of nurturing, mentoring, and celebrating the next generation of women leaders — locally, nationally, and globally.

A huge thank you to the leadership team at The Sixth Form Bolton for creating a space where young women are seen, heard, and celebrated.
