Social Meet Up for Women

BOLLYWOOD NIGHTS is a monthly event organised by Women in Neighbourhoods (WiN) for local women. It's an opportunity to meet up and socialise, in an environment of fun, entertainment and learning. Local businesses have an opportunity to promote their products or services. The evening includes a two-course meal and unlimited drinks and the emphasis is on fun, relaxation, meeting old friends and making new ones – but it is also an event that can provide opportunities for local women. WiN members can provide training in a variety of areas such as start-up businesses, team-building and confidence building and breaking barriers. Inspirational Women Vol 1 2016

  Women in Neighbourhoods (WiN) strives to bring together women who are motivated to help improve the area in which they live and also to connect the various communities of Bolton, forming a network of like-minded women. Last year WiN published INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN of BOLTON Book to celebrate role models in our communities and neighbourhoods. The book also served to inspire others to get involved and bring about positive changes for others. This year we are launching a second edition of 'Inspiration Women', featuring women of all ages and cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds - nominated by others who would like to see their efforts recognised. A project that brings a smile on the faces of young people and gives them bright hopes of the future is The Smile of Hope. It was set up as a charity by Maria Oprea, who at the age of 40 is proving that it is never too late to learn. Live Literature brings renowned writers to Bolton

Two of the North West’s most celebrated poets are coming to Bolton as part of a series of new cultural events being held at Bolton Central Library in partnership with the University of Bolton. The Live Literature Series is a trio of free performances by renowned poets and novelists taking place at the Library. A new monthly business networking event and club is launching in Bury to help women from the town and wider Greater Manchester area meet and connect. The Bury Business Club is part of Enterprising Women network of Local Business Clubs. A group of Bolton women recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of an organisation which has made a difference to the lives of women locally and internationally. Soroptimist International of Bolton was founded before the start of the Second World War in 1938, and three-quarters-of-a-century later the group is still going strong. The Bolton members are among thousands of Soroptimists of all ages and backgrounds in countries across the world.
